Q: How long are passwords good for before they expire?

A: Passwords expire after 180 days and must be reset

Q. How do I use the MFD to make photo copies?

A. For students and guests -  In order to make copies at the MFD, you must first setup a PaperCut account. If you are a current student, you already have an account (use the same username and password you use for Eagle’s Nest).  If you are a guest, you must create an account by visiting from a Cornerstone Computer found in the Library or computer labs.  

For employees - You will have the option to choose “personal” or charge to a department account. Personal would be used if copies are made for anything other than the support of Cornerstone operations. If you need to use the Personal option please follow the directions in the next paragraph. (Personal copies are only allowed in the Library, Bolthouse (hallway), Corum, and Seminary Lab)

Everyone (personal copies) - Next, you must add funds to your account at the library circulation desk. You will need to provide the library staff your username, email account, or ID number.  Once funds have been added to your account, you may use the MFD by swiping your ID card or by entering your (guests) Papercut account number.  You may view the amount of money on your account by visiting

Q. When I swipe my ID card it says, “Your card is not known to the system. Please press ‘Next’ to associate your card with an account.”  Why?

A. At this time, your ID card is not associated with the system. You must follow the on-screen steps. This is a one-time procedure unless you replace your ID card.


Q. What do I do if I lose or replace my ID card?

A. Immediately contact tech support so that we can delete the old ID card information from our system. Failure to do so runs the risk of someone else being able to use the funds associated with that ID card.

Q. What email address can I use with “Scan to email?”

A. The scan to email function only supports email addresses. If you want to send a scanned document outside of Cornerstone, you’ll need to forward the document from your email client.

A: Students can setup IMAP or forwarding access now by logging into their email and clicking on "Settings" in the upper right hand corner then selecting "Forwarding and POP/IMAP." Staff/Faculty are prohibited from forwarding University email at this time (University Policy).
